The Farm
From larvae trays to roasted snacks — how we farm.
At ento we raise crickets (Acheta domesticus) and black soldier fly larvae (BSF) in climate-controlled facilities in Malaysia. Transparency starts at the farm — we invite you to learn how your snacks are produced.
What we prioritise
- Feed quality — Nutritious, traceable diets for every batch
- Hygiene & processing — Roasting and freeze-drying to food-grade standards with batch traceability
- Climate control — HVAC and sanitation built for Malaysia's tropical conditions
- Lab testing — Regular checks for heavy metals, microbes, and allergens
Crickets vs larvae
Crickets grow quickly in vertical racks and are harvested as adults. BSF larvae fatten on controlled feed streams before being roasted whole — a nuttier, milder texture many first-timers prefer.
